A little About our club
Kristmas Town Kiwanis is a non-profit organization in Shelton, WA that helps children in the community. Members of every age attend regular meetings, experience fellowship, raise funds for various causes and participate in service projects that help local kids and their families.
Members come from many different occupations –but all share a common purpose – helping to create a stronger community and provide activities and enrichment for our local children – if it helps the kids, Kristmas Town Kiwanis is pleased to lend a hand!
The Club is part of a global organization dedicated to serving the children of the world. Kiwanis International and its family of clubs—nearly 600,000 members strong—annually raise more than $107 million and dedicate more than 18 million volunteer hours to children.
Kristmas Town Kiwanis Projects & activities
Bluegrass from the Forest annual music festival – live music and kids workshops
Callanan Park Renovation – restroom construction, security lighting, dugout benches, metal roofs for dugouts, storage shed, scoreboard repair, handicap accessible drinking fountain and children’s playground.
Boy Scout Troop 112 – founded in 2016; KristmasTown is the charter organization.
Day of Champions – first conducted in 2019, canceled in 2020 & 2021
Annual scholarships for graduating seniors
Circle K and Key Club youth group sponsorship
40 et 8 community assistance food baskets
Little league baseball and youth soccer program support
Holiday Magic – tree lighting in Post Office Park, bonfires and marshmallow roasting, caroling, rides on the Kristmas Town Kiwanis train, rides on the Kristmas Town Kiwanis Christmas wagon for families, free refreshments. Presented in conjunction with the Shelton Downtown Merchants.
Annual Christmas Parade – First Saturday in December, over 50 decorated entries.
Annual “Duck Race” during Forest Festival
Aluminum can drive – three times a year
Highway Clean-up – quarterly
Oysterfest – rides and free games with prizes for children
Sponsorship of Shelton School District Future Farmers of America (FFA)
Overlook Log Monument – restoration and annual beautification
Youth recreation scholarships through Shelton Parks and Recreation
Kiwanis Law Enforcement Camp Scholarship

Spellabration – Mason County literacy event
